EXPERIENCE
Dr. Meyer graduated from the University of Missouri School of Medicine in 1982 and began his residency in Family Medicine at the University of Missouri. In 1984, he changed his residency to Internal Medicine, completing his Internal Medicine Residency in 1986. Dr Meyer continued at the University of Missouri to complete his cardiology fellowship in 1988. Later that year, Dr. Meyer moved to Jefferson City and joined Internal Medicine, Inc. Dr. Meyer was the first interventional cardiologist to perform angioplasty in Jefferson City which was instrumental in advancing the cardiology services in the area. In 1991, he founded Central Missouri Cardiology in Jefferson City, MO. This formed the first single specialty cardiology practice. In 2008, he and Dr. Morello moved their practice to its current location and merged with three other cardiologists from Jefferson City to form a specialized team of five cardiologists. Central Missouri Cardiology is the only practice in Jefferson City exclusively dedicated to heart health. Dr. Meyer remains as the President and Founder of Central Missouri Cardiology.
